A tremendous batting performance from Ramith Rambukwella and Kithruwan Vithanage guided Royal College to a rousing 106 run victory over Dharmapala MV Pannipitiya in their Munchee inter school under 19 knock out limited overs cricket tournament quarterfinal match worked off at the CCC ground in Maitland Crescent yesterday.

Colombo District girls upset Schools’ Cagers

National Basketball Championships:

In an amazing turn of events Colombo District beat Sri Lanka Schools despite lagging behind at half time by eight points. Until the third quarter, the favorites Sri Lanka Schools seemed to be in complete control. These Youth definitely had the upper hand as they converted Buddhika and Lahiruka controlled the game and converted all their baskets.

Mahanama Navodya take major honors

The inaugural ‘Sinha’ Big Match between Mahanama Navodya Vidyalaya, Panadura and S. de S. Jayasinghe MV which was played recently ended in draw. The highlight of the match was the two half centuries scored by Mahanama’s batsmen Akila Dananjaya (66) and Nimesh Deshan (63).
