Mahanama Navodya take major honors

The inaugural ‘Sinha’ Big Match between Mahanama Navodya Vidyalaya, Panadura and S. de S. Jayasinghe MV which was played recently ended in draw. The highlight of the match was the two half centuries scored by Mahanama’s batsmen Akila Dananjaya (66) and Nimesh Deshan (63).

Their efforts also brought major honors for their school as they managed to get a first innings lead of 10 runs.

The bowler to shine during this game was Akila Dananjaya who had a five wicket haul in the first innings and two wickets in the second essay to have a match bag of seven wickets.
