Open warrant

Colombo Fort Magistrate and Additional District Judge Lanka Jayaratne issued an open warrant for the arrest of a suspect who is wanted in connection with criminal Breach of Trust of a cheque for Rs 100,000 belonging to a business establishment of Negombo.

Slave Island Police produced another suspect of Isipatana Mawatha, Bois Place, Colombo, a Director of the same business establishment before the Judge and released on cash bail of Rs 5,000 and a bond of Rs 100,000 with a surety.

The complaint was made by S. Melvin Kavindra of Kollupitiya, a Director of the Negombo Company. Granting bail, the suspect was directed to appear before Court on May 14.
