Civil Security Force newly appointed Director General Rear Admiral Ananda Peiris paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka at the Prime Minister’s office on Thursday.


Anti-Tank mines seized

Mannar Police seized three Anti-Tank Mines on Thursday, buried in a thicket in Mannar. Police Spokesman Prishanatha Jayakody said the AT mines each weighed 16 kg. They were found buried at the 2 km post on the Mannar-Kalpadu road. The mines were seized by a group of Police led by Mannar Police HQI.
