Palestine President receives Cuban Ambassador
PALESTINE: The President of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA)
Mahmoud Abbas received here Saturday Cuban Ambassador Otto Vaillant and
showed his peoples gratitude for the permanent solidarity of the island.
Abbas talked to the Cuban diplomatic during the presentation of
credentials as standing representative of the Caribbean nation in the
Palestinian occupied territories.
Vaillant who is also chief of the Cuban delegation in Egypt, handed
over the credentials along with his Vietnamese and Mali counterparts
after which they held joint talks with the PNA leader for several
minutes.
The Ambassador expressed the Arab leader his satisfaction for talking
on behalf of the Cuban Government, people and Communist Party and
ratified his invariable support to the Palestinian peoples’ cause,
prompting Abbas’ gratitude, revealed Prensa Latina.
He also showed the will to step up the historical relationship
between Havana and Ramalah, the headquarters of PNA in the occupied West
Bank.
