DSS and St Bridget's champions of Interaction 2010

All the vim, vigour and vitality of youth was seen on the final day of Interaction 2010 as the Interactors from over 70 schools from all over the island took part in indoor and outdoor games at the British School in Colombo.

Despite the keen competition, there was laughter and friendship with food and fun the whole day. With points given for winning the various sports from carrom to charades to badminton to swimming relays and slow races and basketball, cricket, football, pool and bowling, DS Senanayake College (the defending champions) and St Bridget's Convent emerged overall girl's and boy's winners.

Basketball for boys was won by St Joseph's College, who beat DS Senanayake - the favourites in the finals 11/8. Basketball (girls) was won by St Paul's Milagiriya who beat Gateway College in the finals. Badminton singles and doubles boys winners were Ananda College.

Badminton girl's singles and doubles boys winners were Asian International School. Carrom winners were Zahira College.

For the girls, carom winners were Gateway College. Charades was won by St Bridget's Convent while Aquatic overall winners were DS Senanayake college.

According to District Interact Representative Mafaz Mohideen of DS Senanayake College, "the organizing committee felt the success of this sports festival showed that the future looks good as students from different schools from all parts of the country were united in fun and friendship through sports."
