Sri Lanka’s first ever temple-based public library will be opened at
the Attanagalla Rajamaha Viharaya premises on February 14 at 3.00 p.m.

The Rs. 25 million library consists of research facility, reference
section, children’s section, and a reading room while the main building
targets to promote computer education among schoolchildren. This project
is funded by foreign philanthropists including Abbots and Dayakas of
Houston Buddhist Vihara, Texas, USA, Theravada Buddhist Vihara,
Koahsiung, Taiwan and Dharma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara, Los Angles, USA. |
