Mishap injures forty three

Forty three travellers were injured and hospitalised when their bus bound for Pallekele Deyata Kirula Exhibition in Kandy toppled near Kirimetiya bridge, Pilawela yesterday.

One of the critically injured was admitted to Peradeniya hospital while others were admitted to Menikhinne hospital.

Police said the injured passengers were residents of Mapanawathura, Katugastota and were on their way to Deyata Kirula Exhibition in Kandy.
