Outright win for Lumbini

Vikum Sanjaya (3 for 20), Prabath Jayasuriya (3 for 23) and Maduka Liyanapathirana (3 for 45) guided Lumbini College team to an outright win over Isipatana College, Colombo in their inter-school under 19 cricket tournament match played at the Colts CC ground in Havelock Park, yesterday. This was Lumbini's fifth outright win of the current season.

Lumbini MV: 160 (R. Sandaruwan 26, D. Priyadarshana 55, V. Sanjaya 28, A. Samaratunga 7 for 55) and 75 (A. Rusiru 29, Anushka Samarathunga 6 for 17, D. Sulochana 4 for 2)

Isipatana: 75 (N. Sasanka 22, M. Liyanapathirana 6 for 25, P. Jayasuriya 2 for 6, V. Sanjaya 2 for 34) and 121 (Thiwanka Ranasinghe 30, Chamara Waduge 24, Dimithri Perera 18, Vikum Sanjaya 3 for 20, Prabath Jayasuriya 3 for 23, Maduka Liyanapathirana 3 for 45).

Nipun, Adeesha hit tons for Nalanda

Two splendid centuries from Nipun Karunanayake (107 n.o), Adeesha Nanayakkara (158) helped Nalanda College to 296 for 4 in their second innings on the second day of their inter-school under 19 cricket tournament match against St. Sebastian's concluded at Campbell Place yesterday.

St. Sebastian's: 307 for 9 decl (D. Dias 50, R. Fernando 24, K. Fernando 43, A. de Alwis 89, S. de Mel 70, S. Gunawardena 2 for 38, R. Cooray 2 for 21, D. Jayasinghe 2 for 55, K. Danushka 3 for 82).

Nalanda: 189 (Nipun Karunanayake 88, Suranga Tennakoon 32, Primesh Dasanayake 22, Anuke Fernando 2 for 19, Amila Aponsu 4 for 40) and 296 for 4 (Nipun Karunanayake 107 n.o, Adisha Nanayakkara 158, Amila Aponsu 2 for 52, Samith De Mel 2 for 86).
