Mahinda Chinthana Idiri Dekma:

Country to become a paradise of Asia

Addressing the press briefing held at the Information and Media Ministry yesterday Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena said the Government is now ready to develop Sri Lanka as a paradise of Asia through the Mahinda Chinthana Idiri Dekma.

He said President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Government are bound to serve all Sri Lankans.

"According to the results of the Presidential Election, the Government is very confident of obtaining a two thirds majority for making necessary amendments to the constitution," Minister Yapa said.

He also stated that there will be new faces at the up-coming general election.
