One killed in grenade attack
At least one person was killed and several
others were injured following a grenade attack on the residence and
party office of the Provincial Health Promotion and Disease
Prevention Minister Jayarathna Herath at Waduragala in the

Group of gangsters kill man
Police deployed to investigate:
A man was attacked and killed by a group of a
gangsters in Amakadawara, Wariyapola on Sunday midnight. Police
spokesman SSP I.M. Karunaratna said supporters of Presidential
candidate Sarath Fonseka comprising 10-12 persons came under attack
by another group in the Wariyapola area at around 11.45 pm.
