Gold fever

Purse became heavier with my year end bonus.
Accompanied my daughter to jeweler's shop.
She liked not jewellery
Demanded books instead.
I am happy my daughter is not crazy
For precious yellow metal.
I am very happy,
My daughter has no gold fever.

The saga ofa cow

"I remember,
Long ago,
When I was just
A little, calf.

I romped,
Round and round,
All over
The land.

How happy,
I was, then,
With my parents,
And the others.

I grew up fast,
Reached adulthood,
My owners drank
All my milk

After, many years,
Of supplying milk
I grew, old and weak,
And became, barren.

My Master, sold me,
At a great price,
To a butcher, to satisfy
Man's canal greed.

This cruel man,
Led me away
To be slaughtered,
The very next day.

When I'm gone,
I hope, civilization,
Will, some day,
Understand better,
Than to murder us,
Poor, innocent animals,
For the sake, and greed
Of our, flesh."

Tribute to dear father

I, your eldest son, am proud,
That you my father, ever loving being.
You shaped and moulded me throughout;
To be a man, though you cannot see.

You gave us courage to face:
The world that has diverse ends.
With arms of virtue, courage and ease,
So we may live with honour, rare to find.

Though difficult it was, to make ends meet:
English education to us, your concern.
You succeeded; achieved the goal you sought
With your common end-word, Amen.

You were tough both at home and school
Disciplined us in every sphere of life:
Taught us children rightly become
Righteous, courageous 'n pure in life.

We adore you father; for all you've been:
To us children, well off in life
We are sorry though so keen
To show that all are well in life.

Greeting

Trees sway
In excitement
Happily shaking
Their branches
Making a loud greeting
In a friendly manner,
To welcome
The wind
Passing them
Saying Hello and Goodbye
At the same time.

Behind the bars

I'm seeking freedom behind the bars....
Is there any change
me to spring again?
Oh ! Lord please have mercy upon me,
I'm searching for freedom. Inside the dark room
Born to life! but life is questioning me
Why should I be born?
To struggle in my life !!
No ...
Oh dear god! I have feathers,
But
I cannot, fly from this prison!
No strength to bear the pain
please save me
I'm innocent, please consider my prayers
And, release me from the dark .....
And once again show me the brightest world!
'Coz till my death.
I would like to live
I'm longing to see my morning star
Before the sunshine...
Still my moon light expecting
That I will come and admire it.
Please my lord!
Make me feel the joy of life
I had enough no more to experience Sharmy

Beware

Beware of animals
Haunting in the darkness,
In the thick jungles
Where only the fittest survive
Where power devours the poor
Lions roam roaring in hunger,
Tigers tear the innocent deer.
With their thorny teeth in greed,
Jackals exploit to gain their ends
Deceiving the innocent.
Snakes all over
They glide through the thick green grass hissing
Slowly... slowly as ghosts,
Waiting with patience for the right hour,
to lift their heads
and thrust at you
Green snakes, spotted snakes, tiny snakes, long snakes
Some camouflaged.
Up in the mountains,
Down in the rivers they slither
There! there! Shhhhhhh!... beware of them
Slowly they creep into the garden,
Move along the open verandah and along the corridor,
Into the office and coiled in a cozy seat,
They wag their venomous vicious double tongues
Carrying tales to the boss!
