Asam hit 127 vs Sri Lanka

Opener Barbar Asam hit a magnificent 127 for the Pakistan under 19 team before their Tri Nation Limited overs cricket tournament match against Sri Lanka under 19 turned into a no decision due to bad weather at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium yesterday.

Asam struck 14 boundaries during his entertaining innings as Pakistan under 19 reached a formidable 267 for 6 from their 50 overs.

In reply the home side were struggling at 67 for 5 from 15.4 overs when bad light halted play early.

Pakistan under 19: 267 for 6 in 50 overs (B. Asam 127, A. Sheshad 50, M. Nizam 39, C. Jayampathy 2 for 37) Sri Lanka under 19: 67 for 5 in 15.4 overs (R. Buddhika 24, S. Battie 3 for 31)
