Sri Lanka Development squad make clean sweep

Sri Lanka Development Squad made a clean sweep by beating the New Zealand Under-19 team when they beat the hosts in a close encounter at East Shirley in Burn Wood Park.

The Sri Lanka Development Squad was restricted to 233 all out in 47 overs. The hosts only managed to score 212 in 49 overs to give the visitors a 21-run win in a keenly contested limited over encounter.

Main scores:

Sri Lanka Development Squad: 233 all out in 47 overs (Nizam Mazahir 38, Lahiru Thirimanne 30, Dimuthu Karunaratne 32).

New Zealand Under-19: 212 all out in 49 overs (Thisara Perera 5 for 52).
