UPFA gained huge ground after 2005
The number of Parliamentarians of the UPFA which
was only 88 in 2005 had increased to 129 and at the Local Government
and Provincial Council levels we have been able to become the
majority political alliance elected by the people under the
leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, UPFA General Secretary
and Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said at a press
conference at the Mahaweli Centre, Colombo yesterday.

Whole nation grateful to President - CPC Governor
President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s re-election
campaign for a second term in office was launched in the Kandy City
with the participation of a large crowd of UPFA supporters yesterday
morning. Ceremonies were also held concurrently in all leading towns
