John Keells ‘A’ enter Women’s ‘C’ Division finals

John Keells ‘A’ entered the finals of the Women’s ‘C’ Division in the 27th Mercantile Annual Team Championship which is conducted by Sri Lanka Badminton Association which was worked off at S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia yesterday. Men’s ‘D’ Division and ‘E’ Division matches were also being played yesterday. The tournament got under way at 4 pm. The results at the time of going to press were as follows:

John Keells ‘A’ beat John Keells ‘B’ 2-1, John Keells ‘A’ beat Janashakthi 3-0, John Keells ‘B’ beat HDPL ‘A’ 2-1, Janashakthi beat HDPD ‘A’ 2-1.

Men’s ‘E’ Division

HDPL ‘A’ beat Seylan Bank ‘C’ 4-1, McLerans ‘B’ beat LOLC ‘A’ 3-2.

Men’s ‘D’ Division

John Keells ‘A’ beat Diesel and Motor Company 4-1, WNS ‘B’ beat Commercial ‘B’ 5-0.
