Unclean eating houses sealed

A number of eating houses and boutiques were sealed by the Department of Food and Drug Control in the Nuwara-eliya District yesterday for selling un-clean food and expired drugs.

Nuwara Eliya district Food and Drugs Department controller E. P. W. Rajapakse warned the hotel and boutique owners to keep the eating houses and boutiques clean and up to the standard required under the laws of the Health and Food Department.

The 13 errant hotels and three boutiques must be kept cleaned within the next three weeks and of they fail to do so cases will be filed in Courts and the places closed.
