President on Janapathi Janahamuwa tonight

Janapathi Janahamuwa – the President Meeting the People Program, a live program with President Mahinda Rajapaksa answering questions will be held at Temple Trees at 9.00 tonight. It will be telecast live over the Sri Lanka Rupavahini TV channel.

Associated with the President will be Agricultural Development, Agrarian Services and Mahaveli Development Minister Maithripala Sirisena, Healthcare and Nutrition Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, Trade, Consumer Affairs and Co-operative Development Minister Bandula Gunawardena, Export Development and International Trade Minister Prof G.L. Peiris, Social Services and Welfare Minister Douglas Devananda, Environment and Natural Resources Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka, Water Supply and Drainage Minister A.L.M. Athaulla and Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa participating.

Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga and Finance Ministry Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundara will also be present.

A group of journalists would raise questions on public interest to the President and the Ministers during this program, a press release from the Government Information Director stated yesterday.
