National Insurance Week

The Sri Lanka Insurance Institute will lead a campaign in creating insurance awareness in the country from November 11-17.

The campaign will begin with a public seminar on Rakshanayata Hetak targeting school and university students and the program will be held at the DHPL Auditorium, at Nawam Mawatha, Colombo 2. SLII President Deepthi Lokuarachchi said that the campaign is expected to draw public attention on the "Importance of insurance for a better living" and will traget a wider section of the community whose understanding of insurance remains low. The week is expected to end with the National Insurance Congress on November 16 and 17 on the theme "Reshaping insurance companies in the post conflict era" scheduled to be held at the Cinnamon Lakeside with Minister Bandula Gunawardena as the Chief Guest.

The SLII has received the patronage of the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka (IBSL), the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL) and the Sri Lanka Insurance Brokers Association (SLIBA) for this campaign.
