Adaaran wins World Travel Award

Adaaran Prestige Resorts in the Maldives, managed by Aitkin Spence
PLC, was named the Indian Oceans leading Water Villas Group at the World
Travel Awards ceremony here at Marriott Hotel last Saturday.

This is the first Sri Lankan brand based overseas ever to win a world
award of this magnitude.
The three Aitkin Spence Adaaran Prestige Resorts to win this award
were, Adaaran Ocean Villas, Water Villas and Adaaran Vadoo which have a
total of 107 luxury five star water bungalows built on the sea.
Adaaran Prestige Resorts CEO Chetiya Perera said that this is a
tremendous boost for their brand. "At the last year's awards ceremony
the group became the best Maldivian Water Bungalow Group and this year
we have done even better," he said. "With this award, the hotel would
automatically win global accolade bringing in more prestigious high
spending clients to the property. It was the team work which brought us
this triumph," he said.
Adaaran, General Manager Marketing, M. U. Lantra said with this
recognition they can bring in high yields to the property increasing
occupancy and revenue. Meanwhile Hilton Colombo won the award for Sri
Lanka's Leading Business Hotel.
Taj Samudra Colombo received the award for the country's leading
hotel while its second hotel Taj Exotica Bentota was voted Sri Lanka's
Leading Resort. Two of Jetwing Hotels, Lighthouse Hotel and Spa Galle
was named Sri Lanka's Leading Boutique Hotel and the much talked about
Ayurveda Pavilions Negombo was selected Sri Lanka's Leading Spa Resort. |
