Publications by Geological Survey and Mines Bureau

The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) has published a series of books on various minerals in Sri Lanka - resources, potentialities and current issues. The GSMB has also published some books in Sinhala.

The books include Ceramics in Sri Lanka, Graphite in Sri Lanka, Economic Geology - Sri Lanka, Beach Mineral Sands in Sri Lanka, Calcareous Materials in Sri Lanka, Siliceous Materials in Sri Lanka, Energy Resources of Sri Lanka and Supply Options for the future and Sri Lanka Minerals and Industries.

The annual value of mineral commodities produced in Sri Lanka amounts to over Rs. 28 billion.
