Chinese Ambassador visits SLBC

Chinese Ambassador Yang Xiuping visited the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) yesterday on the invitation of SLBC Chairman Hudson Samarasinghe.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the way the SLBC serves the nation after inspecting the premises.

Ambassador Xiuping further expressed her willingness to assist the SLBC to enhance its services to the country.

SLBC Chairman Samarasinghe said the SLBC is the pioneer in the broadcasting service in the country and presently has 10 radio channels in all three national languages.

He further said that the SLBC will take steps to start a television channel in the future.
