Iran-Sri Lanka ties:

Prime Minister calls for practical steps

Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka called for taking practical steps in strengthening bilateral relations between Iran and Sri Lanka.

The Prime Minister said during a meeting with an Iranian parliamentary delegation in Colombo that mounting ties of the two countries particularly in the field of technology necessitates taking practical steps.

The Iranian delegation also expressed hope mutual ties of the two sides would be expanded in various domains.

Iran's parliamentarians also met Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama to voice Tehran's determination for broadening friendly historic ties with the country.
