Japan's NICC lauds Aitken Spence effort

Deputy Director of the Japanese business community's international cooperation, Nippon-Keidanren International Corporation Centre (NICC), Hiriyuki Matsui commended the initiatives made by Aitken Spence PLC to proliferate NICC's Management Training Program (MTP) in Sri Lanka.

"NICC was established in 1990 to foster international cooperation through human resource development. Since then, NICC has played an important role in international cooperation activities of the Japanese business community. We thank Aitken Spence PLC and specifically its Head of Human Resources Rohan Pandithakorralage for the exceptional level of commitment shown to spread our management best practices in Sri Lanka" he said.

Matsui was speaking at the graduation ceremony of 50 Aitken Spence employees who recently completed the MTP program at the Aitken Spence Towers in Colombo.

NICC has cooperated with employers' organizations in developing countries in Asia and other parts of the world to help develop young business executives and to engage in other exchange activities.

In addition to 1,191 of Aitken Spence employees, the Company's HR Development Team led by Rohan Pandithakorralage and Ms Madaara Ranwala has trained over 497 individuals from local universities, the corporate sector and the non-profit sector since 1999.

Matsui and Ms Mayumi Sato of NICC Japan presented the certificates to the participants.
