Polling from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1,485 stations:
The people of South will vote today to elect 55
members to their Provincial Council. Authorities said polling will
take place from 7 am to 4 pm at 1,485 stations, spanning Galle,
Matara and Hambantota districts.

Fitch affirms Lanka’s ratings at ‘B+’, Outlook Stable
Fitch Ratings has revised the Outlook on Sri
Lanka’s Long-term foreign and local currency Issuer Default Ratings
to Stable from Negative. At the same time, the agency has affirmed
the Long-term foreign and local currency IDRs and the Country
Ceiling at ‘B+’, and the Short-term IDR at ‘B’.
