Estate workers receive wage increment balance

Workers of Fairlawn Estate, Gouravilla Estate, Mahanelluwa Estate, Stockholm Estate and Alton Estate, in Upcot area were paid fifty percent of their wage increment balance yesterday due from April, May, June, July and August along with their September salary and those estates are being managed by Horana Plantations Ltd.

The workers who received their wage balances due to them according to the new wage increment of Rs. 405 per day, were very happy and they said that they can celebrate their forthcoming Deepavali festival happily.
