'Govt has sufficient funds'

State Revenue and Deputy Finance Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya told Parliament that the Government has sufficient funds and its financial management would not lead the country to any crisis.

The stock market received 1,000 billion investments last week breaking all previous records, he said. Responding to Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe's views on the Vote of Account the Minister said that the nation have faith in the Government. "it could be seen within a couple of days," he said. The Opposition Leader said the Government plans to bring in a Vote of Account as it has already exhausted the Consolidated Fund and there would be no revenue enough to pay the salaries of public servants in the first four months of next year.
