Business Forum:

‘China’s road to economic success’

The Sri Lanka - China Business Council, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Sri Lanka - China Friendship Foundation will hold the Sri Lanka - China Business Forum on “China’s Road to Economic Success” to mark the 60th National Day Celebrations of the People’s Republic of China followed by the fourth Annual Chinese Product Catalogue Exhibition on September 25 from 9.30 a.m to 12.30 pm at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo (former Trans Asia Hotel).

Ambassador of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China Yang Xiuping will speak on “China’s way forward strategy for Sri Lanka’s trade development” while a presentation will be made by Executive Director, Institute of Policy Studies Dr. Saman Kelegama on “Sri Lanka - China Economic relations - an overview”.

This will be followed by “The growth of Sri Lanka - China Diplomatic/Economic relations” by former Ambassador for Sri Lanka in China Nihal Rodrigo.

The keynote address would be given by Secretary General, Colombo Plan Secretariat Dato’ Patricia Yoon - Moi Chia on “China’s Economic Development and the lessons that could be learnt”.

A panel discussion would follow. A Catalogue exhibition will also take place at the same venue.
