STF unearth explosives, ammunition

The STF in clearing operation in the Thoppigala area has unearthed over 27 kg of C4 explosives and a large stock of weapons in Tharavikkulam on Wednesday afternoon.

Police spokesman Senior DIG Nimal Mediwake said STF personnel from Valaichchenai on information received launched a search operation in Tharavikkulam jungle and recovered high explosives and arms around 1.00 p.m.
