Six newly Appointed Ambassadors Designate and a High Commissioner presented their Credentials to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday. Secretary to the President Lalith Weerathunga and Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama were also present. The new envoys are Fawzi Mohamed EL Said Gohar, Ambassador Designate of Egypt, Patricia A. Butenis, Ambassador Designate of USA, Khaled Salman, Ambassador Designate of Lebanon, Marten Nenkete Kapewasha, High Commissioner Designate of Namibia, Dr. Boris Velic, Ambassador Designate of Croatia, Valerica Epure, Ambassador Designate of Romania and Borislav Kirilov Kostov, Ambassador Designate of Slovak Republic. ‘Consolidate national need against odds’

Continuity of the current regime is a national need to consolidate what has been achieved against overwhelming odds, Export Development and International Trade and Posts and Telecommunication Acting Minister Prof. G. L. Pieris said in Tangalle addressing a teachers meeting.
