Lanka IOC among ‘Business Today Top 10’

Lanka IOC secured a place in the top 10 ranking of the annual survey conducted by Business Today. The company was ranked seventh in the ‘Business Today Top 10’ listing for 2007-08.

Lanka IOC PLC Managing Director, K.R. Suresh Kumar received the award from Defence Secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa at the awards ceremony held recently in Colombo.

Business Today regularly conducts a survey on corporate performance among top corporates in Sri Lanka and recognizes them through this annual awards ceremony. The ‘Business Today Top 10’ company ranking has earned its place as a significant corporate listing in the Sri Lankan business calendar and to be among the ‘Business Today Top 10’ is verifiable proof of an organization’s success. The Business Today annual survey is based on the published financial information of companies listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange.

Established financial criteria used in the selection of the ‘Business Today Top 10’ includes, sales turnover, growth in sales turnover, profits, growth in profits, return on equity, earnings per share, market capitalization, value of shares transacted and value addition.

Lanka IOC PLC, Managing Director, K.R. Suresh Kumar spoke on the efforts of Lanka IOC in bringing a world-class experience and ambience to the petrol sheds in Sri Lanka and the novel practices at the forecourt followed to build the customer loyalty.

“I acknowledge the support of the Government in the efforts of the company in building the energy infrastructure for the development of the company” he said.
