President accomplished second liberation
Mahinda P. Liyanage Galle Central Special Corr.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa is the only leader who could victoriously
and amazingly accomplish the colossal challenge of overcoming the second
national liberation struggle of the motherland as pledged at the 2005
presidential election.
He could execute the national struggle along the correct path since
he was firmly armed with the national patriotic vision and fostered,
supported and guided by the same national forces, said Colombo district
Parliamentarian and National Freedom Front Leader Wimal Weerawansa
addressing a public conference in Galle recently.
He said by defeating the belligerent and ruthless separatist
chauvinism amidst numerous obstructions of traitorous national forces
and immoral imperialistic quarters, the President could generate fresh
expectations in the minds and hearts of entire community which had to
survive in darkness, fear and uncertain for decades with no future
hopes.
After the completion of the first phase of the second national
freedom struggle, at present the country faces the next challenge of
overcoming the final phase of the struggle of making the country, the
most economically, socially and culturally developed country in the
South-East Asia.
The country has the required potential with massive sources,
geological conditions and above all energetic, innovative and creative
professionals, researchers and intellectuals with international acclaim.
The forthcoming SPC election will be the deciding factor of the
battle for building up of the country. Hence we call the public of the
South to ensure the victory of the national patriotic forces at the
ensuring provincial council election. |
