Pulathisi Vamsa to be unveiled on Sept 3

The Pulathisi Vamsa - a legendary treatise based on the historical background of Polonnaruwa (Pulathisi Puravara), would be unveiled on September 3, to coincide with the inauguration of the National Literary Arts Festival - 2009, which would be held this time in the same ancient city.

The volume which has been articulated by 56 scholarly writers, including University Professors, Doctors and renowned Literati on ancient literature has been edited by well known writer Nihal P Jayathunga and published by the Cultural Affairs and National Heritage Ministry.

The treatise contains 54 articles. The inaugural launch of this academic compendium would be held under the patronage of Cultural Affairs and National Heritage Minister, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene and Cultural Affairs Minister Piyasiri Wijenayake.
