More LTTE weapons recovered

Security Forces engaged in clearing operations recovered a stock of weapons and ammunition left behind by the LTTE cadres in the Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu districts. The search operation lasted the whole of Sunday.

Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said troops uncovered nine RPG bombs, two hand grenades, 22 of 60mm mortar bombs, 62 of 60mm mortar fuses, 1036 rounds of GMPG ammunition, two M-16 magazines, 235 rounds of 12.7mm ammunition, 300 detonator codes, a 120mm booby trap and 14 AP mines.
