Zahira launches swimming pool project

An event to raise funds for the Zahira College Colombo 10 will take place at Hotel Hilton, Grand Ball Room at 7.00 p.m. under the theme "let's Pool".

Proposed swimming pool complex

The swimming pool project is initiated by the Old Boys' Association.

The complex will consist of a three storey building with all modern amenities whilst meeting with international standards. The main pool will be 25 meters long and 16.5 meters wide whilst the beginners pool will be 15 meters long and 6 meters wide.

The complex will also consist of wash rooms, and changing rooms.

An innovative feature of the swimming pool will be that it will consist of a specially designed screen meant for ladies events.

The complex will be ideally located with access through D.R. Wijewardene Mawata, Darley Rd., and Maradana with ample parking space.

The organizing committee invites all old Zahirians and well-wishers to rally round them to make this much needed swimming pool project a success through generous donations and contributions. Further details could be obtained through contacting Hilal Sanoon, Secretary - OBA on 077-7763364 or Alavi Mukthar, Treasurer - OBA on 0773-682 699.
