Living Colombo Guide launched
The launch of the Living Colombo Guide comes at a time when Sri Lanka
Tourism is busy promoting a nation at peace to the world - and the
publisher of the first-of-its kind guide and directory has printed the
156-page book on recycled (FSC) paper in line with efforts to reduce the
island's carbon footprint.
The guide available islandwide at supermarkets and bookshops, and at
the international airport for incoming visitors, not only incorporates a
comprehensive listing of services and facilities in Colombo but is also
useful information on the commercial capital from sightseeing, places of
worship, emergency contact information and a map of the city, to banks,
car-hire companies and airlines.
"Of particular interest to locals and tourists alike will be the
guide's listing of restaurants in the city of Colombo, which we believe
is up-to-date and the most comprehensive directory that is available in
this country at present," said a spokeswoman for Media Services, the
publisher of the Living Colombo Guide. "The guide is also being offered
to hotels and travel agents at discounted rates," she said.
"We will soon launch a CD version of the handbook, which will also be
available at leading book stores across the island," she said. |
