Kelaniya Campus reopens

All faculties of the Kelaniya University will be reopened today (30), Director Media Unit of the Kelaniya University Dr. Mapa Thilakaratne told the Daily News.

Accordingly, the university has advised students to start attending lectures as usual. The Kelaniya University was closed following a clash between university students and residents of the area with only the Medical Faculty functioning. Following several rounds of discussions between the University administration and village representatives, both parties reached an amicable settlement, Dr. Thilakaratne said.
