NFF activists attacked

Two supporters of National Freedom Front were injured when they were attacked by an unknown group last morning in Mahawatta, Horana.

Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekera said a group of NFF activists organising a meeting to be attended by leader of NFF Wimal Weerawansa had been attacked by a mob around 6.45am in Mahawatta. "When the NFF supporters traveling in a van to organise a party meeting they were obstructed and attacked by a group of people. Two persons were injured," he added.Meanwhile, two JVP supporters lodged a complaint at the Horana police station saying that their motorcycle was knocked by the NFF supporters' van in Mahawatta.
