Mangala’s staff meets President

The members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the Local Government bodies in the Matara district who were supporting former Minister Mangala Samaraweera yesterday called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees.

They pledged to remain committed for the SLFP’s victory in the Matara district by strengthening the President’s hands. The personal staff of Parliamentarian Mangala Samaraweera except a Co-ordinating Officer participated in this meeting.

They said they were in political isolation and understood the truth following the discussion with the President. Matara Municipal Councillors Indika Manamperi and K.Y Ruwan, Matara Pradeshiya Sabha members Ajitha Paranavithana, Ariyapala Bambarenda, former Southern Provincial Councillor Nassar Akram, Former Matara Mayor A.K. Percy, former Minister Mangala Samaraweera’s District Co-ordinating Officer Sarath Amarasiri were present.
