KPMG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton and Co. appoint new partners
KPMG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton and Co., recently announced the
appointment of three new partners and a principal to its local practice
in Sri Lanka. The recently appointed Partners who took office from April
1, 2009 are Shamila Jayasekara, Chamara Abeyrathne and Dulitha Perera
with Suresh Perera as principal.
Shamila Jayasekara prior to the appointment served as a Director in
the Tax division of the firm and previously served for a six year term
as the head of tax in a large local conglomerate.
Chamara Abeyrathne, who was recently appointed as the resident
Partner for KPMG in the Maldives on September 1, 2008, now joins the
local Partnership of KPMG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton and Co. He previously
served as the resident Country Manager of KPMG in the Maldives for a
three year term.
Dulitha Perera prior to his recent appointment served as the Director
for Advisory Services where he was involved in Internal Audit Services,
Business Performance Services and Forensic areas. Dulitha previously
served a long term secondment with KPMG in the Sultanate of Oman and
also counts experience in Audit and Tax areas. Suresh Perera served as
Director - Tax and Regulatory Services for a four year term prior to his
recent appointment.
