Dinesh bowls Ragama to victory

Spinner Dinesh Daminda captured five wickets for 27 to spearhead Ragama CC to an emphatic 196 run outright victory over Sri Lanka Army SC in their SLC Premier League Tier A tournament match concluded at Maitland Crescent yesterday.

Army SC set to make an impossible target of 404 runs were bundled out for 222 in their second innings with Dinesh Daminda, Ruwan Dilruk and Upul Indrasiri causing most of the damage.

Ragama CC: 350 and 222.

Vain effort by Niroshan

Middle order batsman Suresh Niroshan hit a top score of 93 but could not prevent Chilaw Marians SC from going down to Bloomfield by seven wickets in their SLC Premier League Tier A tournament match concluded at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Splendid 139 by Sajith

Stylish opening batsman Sajith Fernando hammered a splendid 139 inclusive of fourteen boundaries but could not prevent Tamil Union from conceding first innings points to the defending champions SSC in their SLC Premier League Tier A tournament match concluded at Maitland Place yesterday.

All rounder Dilhara Lokuhettige captured five wickets for 40 to give Moors SC a morale boosting first innings victory over CCC in their SLC Premier League Tier A tournament match concluded at Braybrooke Place yesterday.
