Colombo schools closed for 'Deyata Kirula', Independence Day

A number of Colombo schools will be closed from January 27 to February 10 on account of the Deyata Kirula Exhibition 2009.

The schools closed are Thurstan College, Sangamitta Vidyalaya, Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Badrawathee Maha Vidyalaya, Rathnawalee Balika Vidyalaya, Kannangara Vidyalaya, Yasodara Balika Vidyalaya, Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, Bandaranayake Maha Vidyalaya and Clifton Balika Vidyalaya, President's College, Welikada and Asoka Vidyalaya, Maradana will also be closed from January 24 to February 10 in view of the same function.

Several schools in Colombo will be closed from January 28 to February 04, on account of the 61st Independence Day celebrations.

The schools that will be closed are Sir Baron Jayathilaka Vidyalaya, Sariputta Vidyalaya, T.B. Jaya Vidyalaya, Holy Rosary Sinhala Vidyalaya, Holy Rosary Tamil Vidyalaya and Al-Iqbal Maha Vidyalaya.

Mahanama Vidyalaya Colombo 2 will also be closed from January 23 to February 05 in view of the same ceremony.
