Anchor Newdale yoghurt offers instant prizes

Fonterra Brands Lanka firmly believes in encouraging children to enjoy consuming nutritious food. With this objective in mind, Anchor Newdale Yoghurt urged young ones to "eat more, win more".

The innovative consumer promotion offered instant prizes which no other dairy company in Sri Lanka has done before. It proved to be a boon for mothers who were stressed out trying to encourage their kids to eat a balanced diet.

Winners with prizes

The promotion proved to be tremendously popular among kids. The kids who won, found a picture of the awesome prize - bag, watch, t-shirt, gloves, cap or sunglasses - printed under the lid of the Anchor Newdale yoghurt cup. Those who collected the letters to spell out Newdale had a chance to win a super cool mountain bike and over 50 of them have won so far.

A few of the grand prize winners were invited to visit the dairy factory and see for themselves how yoghurt is made. It was a memorable experience for the kids. The mountain bike was something all their friends drooled over and a dream come true for the winners.

Chetana Liyanage from Wellampitiya said: "It was an exciting challenge to enter the competition and among my friends we all competed with each other. So I'm really thrilled with my prize and all my friends think it's great."

13-year-old P. Thawaruban from Colombo couldn't believe his luck. "I always wanted a mountain bike and I took part in the competition in the hope of achieving my dream and I did - to my delight. It was really fun to participate."

Managing Director of Fonterra Brands Lanka Achyut Reddy was pleased to see the delight in the eyes of the children who were lucky enough to win the mountain bikes.

"Fonterra is committed to making Sri Lanka a healthy nation and are encouraged by the eager response we have received for this promotion from both children and their mothers who value our contribution" he said.
