Pandithage to be Hayleys Chairman
Hayleys PLC announced last week that N.G Wickremeratne has advised
the Board of Directors that he will relinquish his position as Chairman
and Chief Executive of the Company on 30th June on his retirement.

The Board has agreed that A.M. Pandithage, Deputy Chairman will be
appointed as Chairman and Chief Executive from 1st July 2009.
Pandithage joined Hayleys in 1969. Appointed Group Executive Director
in 1996 and to the Board in 1998, he was appointed Deputy Chairman in
2007. He was the Chief Executive of Hayleys Advantis Ltd. since its
inception.
Pandithage was the Director Sri Lanka Port Management and Consultancy
Services Ltd and served as former Chairman of the Ceylon Association of
Ships’ Agents and former Director of both Sri Lanka Ports Authority and
Jaya Container Terminals Ltd.
He held the overall responsibility for the transportation sector.
His dedication at Hayleys for over a period of 38 years, resulted in
developing and growing Hayleys transportation sector and logistics
business under Hayleys Advantis Ltd.
