Tyronne (5/43) bowls Bloomfield to an innings win

Paceman Tyronne Gamage captured five wickets for 43 to lead Bloomfield to a convincing innings and 23 runs outright victory over Baduraliya CC in their SLC Premier League Tier A tournament match concluded at the R. Premadasa Stadium yesterday.

Baduraliya CC who were well placed at one stage collapsed sensationally and were dismissed for 211 runs in their second innings with the pace spin combination of Gamage and Suraj Mohamed causing the damage.

Baduraliya CC: 63 and 211 (D. Vitharana 114, T. Gamage 5 for 43, S. Mohamed 3 for 53)

Twin centuries by Indika

Prolific run getter Indika de Saram hammered twin centuries as Ragama CC took first innings points over Moors SC in their SLC Premier League Tier A tournament match concluded at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

De Saram who made 125 in the first innings followed up with a similar performance stroking an unbeaten 150 as Ragama CC piled up an impressive 305 for 6 in their second innings.

Ragama CC: 279 and 305 for 6 decl (I. de Saram 150 n.o, D. Perera 64, D. Lokuhettige 3 for 47, C. Mudalige 2 for 94).

Moors SC: 206 and 132 for 2 (D. Ranatunga 22, N. Mazahir 50, D. Hunukumbura 53 n.o, M. Bandara 2 for 27).


Saracens in two wicket win

Saracens SC after conceding first innings points came back magnificently to beat Sri Lanka Police SC outright by two wickets in an exciting SLC Premier League Tier B tournament match worked off at the Police Park yesterday.

This was also their third successive outright victory in the tournament having earlier defeated Lankan CC and Seeduwa Raddoluwa SC respectively.

Police SC: 165 and 112

Saracens SC: 98 and 184 for 8 (K. Bodhisha 30, S. Pussegolla 35, C. Soysa 24, A. Janoda 23 n.o, M. Jayawardena 2 for 26, M. Priyankara 2 for 46)


Easy for Air Force

Sri Lanka Air Force SC cruised to an easy seven wicket victory over Sebastianites SC in their SLC Premier League Tier B tournament match concluded at Moratuwa yesterday.

Sebastianites SC trailing by 63 runs on the first innings were bundled out for 148 in their second innings with Yasith de Silva, Suwanji Madanayake and Nuwan Shiroman sharing the wickets.

Sebastianites SC: 179 and 148 (P. Jayasundera 37, Y. de Silva 3 for 29, S. Madanayake 3 for 26, N. Shiroman 3 for 25)

Air Force SC: 242 and 87 for 3 (M. Fernando 22, A. Kumara 24, U. Peiris 2 for 23)


Tharanga sparkles

Opener Tharanga de Silva smashed an unbeaten century from just 96 deliveries with three sixes and eleven boundaries as Moratuwa SC collected first innings points over Lankan CC in their SLC Premier League Tier B tournament match concluded at Katunayake yesterday.

Moratuwa SC: 337 and 279 for 6 (T. de Silva 100 n.o, S. Perera 76, N. Wijesinghe 33, S. Perera 2 for 96, P. Hewage 2 for 47)

Lankan CC: 261 (C. Fernando 4 for 54, S. Jayasinghe 2 for 46, S. Perera 2 for 47).


Major honours for Singha

Singha SC Ambalangoda had to be satisfied with first innings points as they took major honours in their SLC Premier League Tier B tournament match against BRC concluded at Havelock Park yesterday.

BRC: 295 and 257 for 9 decl (M. Fernando 78, G. Perera 28, D. Cooray 66 n.o, S. Vithana 6 for 78)

Singha SC: 301 and 198 for 5 (R. Kavinga 40, D. Faux 54, A. Wewelwela 76 n.o, R. Wimaladharma 2 for 28, M. Madushanka 2 for 30).
