Police Christmas carols

The annual Police Christmas carols was held at the Bambalapitiya
Police Grounds on Friday in the presence of a large gathering including
present and past, senior and junior police personnel and their family
members and the public.

The Chief Guest Inspector General of Police Jayantha Wickremaratne
and Ms. Anoma Goonetilleke Wickremaratne were received by Senior DIG
Mahinda Balasuriya, Senior DIG Nimal Lewke and Commandant Lalith Lekamge.
Former IGPs Frank Silva, Cyril Herath and Chandra Fernando were among
the distinguished gathering at the Police Carols.
Rev. Fr. Jude Fernando delivered the Christmas message.
Kalasuree Latha Walpola, Dalrin Suby, Anil Bharethi, Clifford
Richards and the Police Choral Group performed.
The Police Band led by Band Master Inspector Sumith Liyanage
performed. Assistant Band Masters Inspector Aruna Mudunkotuwa and
Bernard Augustine also participated.
The Police Cultural Trope performed several dancing items directed by
the Police Cultural Troop Director Assistant Superintendent of Police
Karunarathna Bandara.
IGP Jayantha Wickremaratne thanked the singers, members of the Police
Band and the organisers. |
