Disciplinary inquiry against five

A disciplinary inquiry has been launched against five prison officials regarding the escape of three prisoners from the Dambulla Magistrate Court cell on Tuesday, Bogambara Prison Superintendent Nelson Abeydeera said.

Among the escapees were Wedi Chuti a main suspect in the Wasgamuwa National Park double murder, he said. The other two suspects were involved in a heroin case.
