GSP Plus facility:
Govt rejects Constitutional changes
KOTTE: Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka
told Parliament yesterday that the Republican character of Sri Lanka
would be changed and the sovereignty of the people affected if
Constitutional amendments were made as proposed by Opposition Leader
Ranil Wickremesinghe to retain the GSP+ facility.
