No terrorist action can be justified - Turkish President

TURKEY: Turkey does not condone acts of terrorism on any grounds. Bilateral and Multilateral co-operation is essential in combating this threat, Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul said proposing a toast to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at a banquet hosted in his honour at the Presidential Palace in Ankara on Tuesday night.

Over 1,700 persons have lost limbs in landmine explosions :

COLOMBO: A total of 75,000 anti-personnel landmines have been removed from areas affected by terrorism, Chairman of the National Steering Committee on Humanitarian De-mining at the Nation Building Ministry N.S. Jayasinghe said yesterday.

CIC invests Rs. 500m in dairy venture

Leases two 3600 acre farms in Eastern Province:

Buoyed by the investment opportunities in the Eastern Province, Agriculture rich blue chip Chemical Industries Colombo PLC, through its subsidiary CIC Agribusiness (Pvt) Ltd, has embarked on two ambitious Rs. 500 million milk processing facilities at Welikanda and Punani.
