Major LTTE locations attacked

Air Force fighter jets carried out air sorties targeting two major
LTTE locations in the Killinochci area yesterday morning.
Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said the Air
Force fighters launched a twin air raids in support to advancing troops
of the 57 and 58 - divisions at round 9.40 a.m. in the Killinochchi
district.
“The first aerial attack was conducted targeting a major LTTE
location in Adampan, Killinochchi. Another LTTE position was targeted by
the Air Force fighters North of the Pudumurippukulam tank, in
Killinochci”, he added.
Wing Commander Nanayakkara said the air sorties were effective.
“The twin air raids were carried out following precise and reliable
information provided from ground intelligence sources and air
surveillance”, he added. |
